Biography
Prof. Vincent Wong, Mok Hing Yiu Professor of Medicine, Department of Medicine & Therapeutics; Head, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology; Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong; Honorary Consultant, Prince of Wales Hospital, Hospital Authority. His research focuses on viral hepatitis and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease, particularly the use of non-invasive tests for screening and diagnosis. He is on the writing committee of the steatotic liver disease management guidelines by the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver and the European Association for the Study of the Liver. He has published over 690 publications in international medical journals, with a current h-index of 135. In addition to his research endeavors, Prof. Wong serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Hepatology and an Editorial Board member of Metabolism and Target Organ Damage(M&TOD), JHEP Reports, and Clinical and Molecular Hepatology. He held the presidency of the Hong Kong Association for the Study of Liver Diseases from 2015 to 2017 and is currently the Chairman of the Specialty Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, the Hong Kong College of Physicians. Recognized for his research excellence, Prof. Wong has received research awards from the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver, Asian Pacific Digestive Week Federation, British Society of Gastroenterology, Hong Kong College of Physicians, and the Food and Health Bureau.

Prof. Shira Zelber-Sagi

Biography
Prof. Zelber-Sagi has graduated BSc in nutrition sciences from the Hebrew University and has 25 years of experience as a clinical dietitian with expertise in liver diseases, within the liver unit, at the Department of Gastroenterology, Tel-Aviv Medical Center. She graduated with a Ph.D. in epidemiology and preventive medicine at the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. Since 2009, she has been a faculty member at the University of Haifa, Faculty of Social Welfare and Health Sciences at the School of Public Health. From 2019 to 2024, for a term of 5 years, she was the Head of the School of Public Health, and she is currently the head of the MA committee. She is currently the Public Health Councillor of the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL). She is also a senior scientist at the Global NASH/MASH Council, Washington DC, United States. Her research focuses on MASLD  epidemiology, prevention, and treatment, combining nutrition, physical activity, weight reduction, and behavioral aspects. She has published over 150 scientific papers and book chapters.

Biography
Laurent Castera, M.D., Ph.D., FAASLD, is Professor of Hepatology at the Université Paris-Cité (Department of Hepatology, Hôpital Beaujon, Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris, Clichy, France) and Visiting Professor of Medicine at University College London (Institute of Liver and Digestive Health, Royal Free Hospital London, UK). His research interests focus on non-invasive methods for the assessment of liver fibrosis and MASLD/MASH. He has published more than 300 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and serves as Associate Editor for Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Hepatology, Gut and Liver International. He chaired the first international guidelines on the use of non-invasive tests (EASL-ALEH Clinical Practice Guidelines J Hepatol 2015). He served on the Scientific Committee of the United European Gastroenterology (UEG) from 2011 to 2013 and on the UEG Council from 2017 to 2021. He served on the Board of the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) from 2012 to 2013, as EASL Vice Secretary from 2013 to 2015, and as EASL Secretary General from 2015 to 2017.
