Special Issue Introduction

Autologous fat grafting has evolved from a simple volumization technique into a biologically informed, precision-driven approach at the intersection of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Advances in fat harvesting, processing, and injection have significantly enhanced graft viability, integration, and predictability—leading to improved patient outcomes.

This Special Issue presents a curated selection of articles that explore the state of the art in precision fat grafting. Topics include cutting-edge device innovations, standardized preparation protocols, imaging-guided injection techniques, and the therapeutic potential of adipose-derived stem cells. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based strategies and translational research that bridge bench to bedside.

By integrating technological innovation with clinical best practices, this collection offers a concise yet comprehensive overview of fat grafting as a rapidly evolving, multidisciplinary field.
